Below you will find photographs of deer that were harvested on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area during the 2006-2007 hunting season.

If you have a picture of a deer taken on this public hunting area, please forward it to me at gevans@vis-info.com so that others might enjoy your trophy.

It would be good if you could include the date of you harvest as well as any other information that you would like to share (time of day, weight, measurements, ect...).  Also, please feel free to write a narrative about your days hunt, so that others may enjoy your day afield.

Chad Bailey harvested this nice 4.5year old 9 point during the January 4-6, 2007 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The deer weighed 183lbs.  Nice 'un Chad!

Rodney Roberts is show below with a good looking 4.5 year old buck that he took during the January 4-6, 2007 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The 8 point weighed 145lbs.

Ronnie Carlee is pictured below with the fine 10 point that he took during the January 4-6, 2007 hunt.  The 168lbs buck was 4.5 years old.

Brian Moore took this nice nice 3.5 year old eight point during the December 16, 2006 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The deer weighed 169lbs.

Charles Lowe scored with this nice 2.5 year old eight point that weighed 150lbs.  The buck was taken during the December 15, 2006 Gun Hunt.  Charles, I hope you let those nice looking young men that are with you, tote that deer out of the woods for ya!

The six point below was harvested by Earnest Polk during the December 16, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The 3.5 year old deer weighed 153lbs.  See Earnest below with the buck he took on December 15th.  Earnie...what happened on the 14th?????

Congratulations to Eric Wilson who took this fine 3.5 year old buck during the December 16, 2006 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The ten point buck weighed 182lbs.

Frank Lutz returns to the Trophy Room (see the 2004-2005 Trophy Room) with this fine ten point buck.  The 3.5 year old weighed 169lbs.

Gary Lashum took this nice 2.5 year old buck during the December 16, 2006 Gun Hint on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The 153lbs buck was 3.5 years old.

Heath Pickett harvested this 2.5 year old eight point during the December 16, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The buck weighed 119lbs.

James Bolton took this nice five point during the December 16, 2006 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  His son is shown below with the 2.5 year old buck that weighed 147lbs.  Thanks for sharing the outdoors with a kid, James!

Jimmy Roberts is shown below with very nice 5.5 year old buck that weighed 180lbs.  The nine point had 28 inch main beams and a 21 inch inside spread.  The deer was harvested during the December 15, 2006 Gun Hunt.  Nice public hunting land deer!  Uhhh...Uhhh...Uhhh...never mind.

With his fourth submission to the 2006-2007 Trophy Room, Lamar Boothe shows what he can do with a firearm.  The 3.5 year old nine point was harvested during the December 16, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The buck weighed 160lbs.  Congratulations Lamar!

Matthew Benton is show below with a 2.5 year old eight point that he took during the December 16, 2006 Gun hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The buck weighed 154lbs.

Chris Bargman and Mike Luther are shown below with two nice bucks that they harvested during the December 16, 2006 Gun Hunt.  Mike shows up in each of the four Trophy Rooms maintained on this site, and he is often accompanied by a buddy that he is introducing to hunting on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  Chris, on the left, is shown with his 2.5 year old six point buck that weighed 143lbs.  Mike, on the right, is shown with his 1.5 year old four point buck that weighed 118lbs.  Way to go guys...glad to see you again Mike!

Way ta go Jessica!  Jessica Lutz is shown with a fine 164lbs eight point that she took during the December 14 Gun hunt.  The buck was 3.5 years old.

LLoyd Pickett took this nice 3.5 year old eight point during the December 14, 2006 Gun Hunt.  the deer weighed 182lbs.  I am told that Lloyd is the WMA Turkey Hunting expert, but he seems to do quite well with deer too!

Billie Lewis scored on this 1.5 year old six point during the December 14, 2006 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The buck weighed 115lbs.

Ryan Hermecs took this 180lbs eight point during the December 14, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The deer was aged at 3.5 years.

Todd McCarver is shown below with the 4.5 year old eight point that he harvested during the December 14, 2006 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The bruiser of a buck weighed 205lbs.  Todd has a T-Shirt to match his deer...."Outstanding".

A BIG THANKS to Lamar Boothe for sending in the below photographs of his Bow harvest trophies.  Lamar had the first submission to the 2006-2007 Trophy Room, and it would appear that he has this stuff figured out.  The doe on the left was harvested on November 4, 2006, and the one on the right was harvested on December 4, 2006.  The December deer was the second time that a vacation day has paid off for Lamar this year...it was also the first deer taken with his new bow.  Congratulations Lamar and thanks for the pictures...send more!!!

Brian Moore took this very nice 8 point during the November 25, 2006 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The 2.5 year old deer weighed 166lbs.

Alan Wilson harvested this very nice 7 point buck during the November 25, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The 3.5 year old deer weighed 187lbs and was sporting a 7.25 inch brow tine.

Rodney Johnson scored on this very nice 195lbs 8 point during the November 25, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The deer was aged at 4.5 years.

Twelve year old Jake Lucas is shown below with a 1.5 year old spike that he harvested during the November 24, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The deer weighed 106lbs.  That's a nice 'en Jake!

Michael Anderson took this nice 5 point during the November 24, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The deer weighed 144lbs and was aged at 2.5 years.  Michael is consistent performer on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area, and he shows up in the Trophy Room for last year as well as the year before that.  Did you use your bike again this year Mike?

Michael Carlee harvested this fine 3.5 year old buck during the November 24, 2006 hunt.  The 9 point buck weighed 148lbs.

James Hosmer is shown below with a 6 point that he took during the November 24, 2006 Gun Hunt.  The 1.5 year old deer weighed 108lbs.

Timothy Santos, Jr. took this beefy 5 point during the November 24, 2006 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  Missing brow tines indicate the buck used to be a 7 point.  The 4.5 year old deer weighed 192lbs.

Bo Bolton harvested this nice doe during the November 11, 2006 Youth Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  The 4.5 year old deer weighed 100lbs.  Nice Job Bo!

Jason Moore harvested this fine doe at 8:50am during the November 18, 2006 Gun Hunt on the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area.  She weighed 100lbs on the hoof and was 6 1/2 years old.  Way to go Jason, and thanks for sending the picture!

Congratulations to Lamar Boothe on a fine bow harvest and also for being the first addition to the Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area 2006-2007 Trophy Room!  Lamar took this fine doe on the Pear Ridge side of the management area on Monday October 23, 2006 at 10:00 am.  Don't ya just love it when a vacation day (or was it a sick day Lamar?) pays off!  Thanks for sending the picture Lamar...keep 'em coming!
