The Shotgun Shooting Range is open for business.  Please observe all posted rules.   If you see someone violating these rules, contact the District 3 Law Enforcement Office of the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries in Northport, AL at 205-339-5716.  These folks can quickly get in contact with the conservation officer that is nearest the WMA.

Shooters must possess an Alabama Hunting License OR a Wildlife Management Area License as well as the Wildlife Management Area Permit (map).  In addition to your local sporting goods store and Wal-Mart, licenses can be purchased on-line at https://www.alabamainteractive.org/dcnr/license/index.cgi .  The Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area Permit can be downloaded from http://www.outdooralabama.com/hunting/wildlife-areas/wmamaps/Cahaba%20River%20Map%202010.pdf

The facilities include a parking area and concrete has been poured to serve as a shooting platform.  The range is located in the same area of the WMA as the rifle/pistol range.  When you turn off Co. Rd. 91 where the sign says Target Range (you have to be looking for it), the range is about 1/2 mile down this road and on the left.  It is before you get to the rifle/pistol range. DIRECTIONS

DIRECTIONS:  Follow Co. Rd. 52 West through Helena.  At the intersection of Co. Rd. 52 and Co. Rd. 17, continue across 17.  The road turns into Co. Rd. 91.  Continue down Co. At the bottom of the hill, the road curves to the LEFT.  The rifle/pistol range is about 1/2 of a mile from this turn.
