An "Easter Egg" is a special and unique item or feature that you might not know about unless you happened to stumble across it. Some are more easily found and found out about, but the more difficult ones to locate and learn about are inevitably the "neatest" ones of all. The Cahaba River WMA has several of these. This list is a work in progress. I am sure that there are many other "special" places in the area that I have yet to discover. The links to the left are to specific places that I believe qualify as "Easter Eggs". The photos below are of various places that may or may not be included as an "Easter Egg".
DIRECTIONS For directions to specific Easter Egg locations, please click the link on the left side of this page. The downloadable map on this site is really not detailed enough for you to follow unless you are familiar with the area. I suggest that you stop and obtain an official map/permit which has the same map as this site but with much better resolution.
